A moment in many personal histories, where the surprise is bigger than you, and mystery is itching.

It was whatever they wanted it to be.

To the realists "definitely a refrigerator". Those anticipating the performance art wondered "how many people are in there?". The college kids waited for a stripper, and when it never came it was a dead stripper. The romantics thought "It's an engagement ring", "somebody must be in love". The hams insisted it was both their birthday and being delivered to them. And the children who didn't know what to do but hug the thing.
